Hi Tabrayz!
I faced the same error and when it happened I realized that my application was stopped and it was because the listener was stopped too. So I tried to start the listener but it sent an error. After solve it by editing the "listener.ora" and "tnsnames.ora" by changing the hostname to the IP of my server, it could start and I started the portal.
Then I tried to run again the installation but it sent the same error, so I stopped it and started it again with "Continue with the old option" and it finished correctly.
Best Regards!

how to solve this problem?
i have same issue...
Hi Anoop,
You should share your solution when you close the thread, since you solved it yourself.
However, I know the solution, having just gone through this myself. It's really quite simple. For Windows 2012 R2, there is no hotfix to download and apply (the hotfix in the KB is for Windows 2012, not 2012 R2). In Win 2012 R2 there is a minor registry change to make manually, and it is completely and fully described in the Microsoft KB article. Add the registry key mentioned, and the prerequisites check will pass. This is a new check in the latest versions of SWPM -- earlier versions didn't check for this registry key.
Cheers,
Matt
i added bilow registry key, but same error!!!!
have you another solution?
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanWorkStation\Parameters
On the Edit menu, point to New, and then tap or click DWORD Value.
Type DisableCARetryOnInitialConnect.
Press and hold or right-click DisableCARetryOnInitialConnect, and then tap or click Modify.
In the Value data box, type 0, and then tap or click OK.
That was the solution for me. You probably have something else going on. I suggest you start a new thread and put in all the details, including some screenshots of the error and the registry key you entered, rather than continuing on this old thread.

hi Klaus
Please check the port 3299 is open in firewall or not and please share your OSS1 configuration parameter and share SAPOSS rfc configuration info.
Hi,
OSS1:
Customer Site
Name | <saproutername> |
IP Address | <saprouerip> |
Instance no. 99
SAP Site:
Name | sapserv2 |
IP Address | 194.39.131.34 |
Instance no. 99
Message Server:
Name | oss001 |
DB Name | O01 |
Instance no. 01
SAPOSS RFC:
I dont understand what you exactly need. Connection string is:
/H/<saprouterip>/S/sapdp99/H/194.39.131.34/S/sapdp99/H/oss001
The firewall guys say that the configuration for 3299 is ok, is there a simple way to test it?
I dont think that there is a problem because it was working before i reinstalled the router.
OSS1 and SM59 also not changed, ao i think i is a problem on the router iself.
Best regards,
Klaus

hi Klaus,
Please follow the instruction of this link to resolve this issue.
I use IP 194.39.131.34 (sapserv2) which was given from SAP support.
I already generated a new certificate. I think it is ok. Please see he commands:
sapgenpse get_my_name -n validity
SSO for USER "XXXX"
with PSE file "D:\usr\sap\saprouter\local.pse"
Validity - NotBefore: Mon Jun 08 14:22:46 2015 (150608122246Z)
NotAfter: Tue Jun 07 14:22:46 2016 (160607122246Z)
sapgenpse get_my_name -v -n Issuer
Opening PSE "D:\usr\sap\saprouter\local.pse"...
PSE (v2) open ok.
Retrieving my certificate... ok.
Getting requested information... ok.
SSO for USER "MBADMIN"
with PSE file "D:\usr\sap\saprouter\local.pse"
Issuer : CN=SAProuter CA, OU=SAProuter, O=SAP Trust Community II, C=DE
Best regards,
Klaus
