Thanks for the clarification. I've not previously had to move an installation from local to domain, and I didn't realize the Rename tool would do that, so I figured it would have to be manual.

Re: Failed to update service environment from user... in Windows Event Log.
Hallo Matt,
fist of all thank you for the reply and explanation. For further information this is a testing system for me to learn SAP and will not go productive.
I checked the users and groups on the domain controller and the local users on the SAP System.
I have to admit it was quite weird because:
1. SAPServiceHP2 user was local and on the domain controller
2. hp2adm user was local and on the domaincontroller
3. SAP_HP2_GlobalAdmin group was local and on the domain controller
The services sapccmsr.oo, SAPHP2_00, SAPHP2_00 were configured with the local user SAPServiceHP2 and I changed it to the domain user SAPServiceHP2@pechtor.local since pechtor.local is the domain.
The service SAPOsCol was also configured with a local user and I changed it to the specific domain user.
There is also another service SAPSMD_98 with a local user names smdadm.
The user smdadm is at the moment only local on the SAP System.
In the domain it doesn exist.
Should I do anything with this user for the moment?
After that I restarted the OS and logged in as pechtor\hp2adm.
Before this post I logged in as domain administrator.
If I unterstod your explanation right, the pechtor\hp2adm is the right user to log on the SAP System?
In the event log there are three errors (see event_log_overview)
The the details of the three errors are in the other screenshots.
The last screenshot shows the services as they are at the moment configured.
Regards,
Martin
Re: Failed to update service environment from user... in Windows Event Log.
- hp2adm and SAPServiceHP2 should be domain users (no need for local copies).
- SAP_HP2_GlobalAdmin should be a domain group (not local).
- Local (not domain) groups should be:
- SAP_HP2_LocalAdmin
- SAP_LocalAdmin
- Possibly other groups related to Diagnostics and Host Agents (SMD, DAA, etc)
- The two local groups should contain the global/domain group
- The global group should contain the two domain users
- Local users (not domain) could include daaadm (for diagnostics agent), sapadm (for host agent), and SAPServiceDAA (for diagnostics agent). Or, these might be with SMD instead of DAA. These are not critical to running the SAP system, they are for monitoring by Solution Manager, so may not be needed for your personal test system.
- Services:
- SAPDAA_98 (or SAPSMD_98) should run as the local user SAPServiceDAA (or SAPServiceSMD)
- SAPHP2_00 and _01 should run as the domain user SAPServiceHP2
- SAPHostControl (if exists) should run as local user sapadm (and be manual start)
- SAPHostExec (if exists) should run as Local System
- SAPOsCol is a deprecated service, replaced by SAPHostControl, etc, mentioned above. However, if you still have it, I think it can run as Local System. No harm in using the domain account, just not necessary.
When you start the system with SAPMMC, you should provide the logon credentials for hp2adm when it asks. If you are logged onto the server console when doing this, it's best (but not critical) to logon as hp2adm.
Peter Simon is the expert on this stuff, however, so I would definitely defer to his knowledge. In other words, download the SWPM tool from the SAP Service Marketplace and use the System Rename option within the tool to switch from a local to domain installation without having to reinstall. This will be cleaner than trying to change it manually.

Hi,
Kindly cross check once again your BG job which are related to update statics. Check the CCMS and gateway process which is running or not.

Re: Validity of certificate from list with PSE type >SSL. Client (Standard)< ends in 3 days
Hi Matt,
We are also facing the similar issue, so we have disabled the alerting system as per your suggestion.
But still we are facing the same issue.
Can you please let us know how to resolve this issue.

Re: Validity of certificate from list with PSE type >SSL. Client (Standard)< ends in 3 days
Hi Krishna,
If replacing the certificate or disabling the "autoabap" function in SSF_ALERT_CERTEXPIRE didn't work, then something else may be going on. You'll need to provide some more details about your setup and the messages involved, and what you've done exactly. I would suggest you start a new discussion thread (and probably in the NetWeaver Administrator space, instead of SAP on Microsoft Windows, as this isn't really a Windows-specific issue). Reference this thread to show that you searched and tried this, and provide as much detail as you can.
Cheers,
Matt
FSL-01027 Account user="Domain\sidadm" does not exist.
Hi Team,
We have done the SQL DB Upgrade from 2008R2 to 2012, now we are running database Upgrade completion from SAPINST.
Im facing this below error.
The current server domain is FB & the SIDADM users are under different domain (Ex: say INDIA)
I've tried with FB & INDIA here, both are encountering same error.
Error log is saying
FSL-01027 Account user="INDIA\mpdadm" does not exist.
FSL-01027 Account user="FB\mpdadm" does not exist.

Nani
Re: FSL-01027 Account user="Domain\sidadm" does not exist.
Hi Nani
1. FB is your domain name ? or could you type the domain name with FQDN or Once again check the domain name(Not a server name)?
2. SIDADM & SAPServiceSID user id are as part of local administrator group?

Re: FSL-01027 Account user="Domain\sidadm" does not exist.
Hi Sriram,
1. I've tried with FQDN still same error exists.
2. Both the users are included in Local admin group.
Here, with login into server with FB\root user , and if we want to login with sidadm means we will use INDIA/SIDADM. Here im seeing two domains FB & INDIA. Im not sure is there any conflict between these two.
Before upgrade the system functioning well with two diff domains.

Nani
Re: FSL-01027 Account user="Domain\sidadm" does not exist.
Hi Nani
I think still what you are typing the domain name was wrong, you have to find the right domain name and SAP SIDADM user id. You can find the domain information in SAP services on Windows Server OS level.

Re: BR0253E Function NetShareGetInfo() failed for 'sapmnt' errno 5: Access is denied.
Sorry for my very late reply.
My problem solved yesterday.
My backup is not run because my environment variable is wrong.
my user variable for the server :
SAPEXE become SAPEX
maybe I accidentally delete that "E" when I check my environment variable before I restart the server.
Thank you for all of your help.
Re: FSL-01027 Account user="Domain\sidadm" does not exist.
Hi,
which user is used to run sapinst?
I assume that India and FB do have a two way trusted relationship.
In this case you need to run the installation with a user who is member of one of the two domains AND is member of the computers (local) administrators group.

Peter
SAP ON WINDOWS
Hello ,
I recently on boarded to a project where all the SAP Application are on Windows server 2012 with MSSQL DB. I want a clear picture on thease type of server. I haven't worked on Windows , Previously I have worked on AIX/ Linux env with DB2 . Could any one help and share the documents please.
Thanks in Advance.
Re: SAP ON WINDOWS
Hi Krishna,
Most of what you need to know can probably be found in the SAP on Microsoft Windows space that you posted this discussion to, and the SAP on SQL Server space. Additionally, SAP experts at Microsoft maintain an excellent blog called Running SAP Applications on the Microsoft Platform that is a great resource (many of the authors on that blog are also contributors on SCN). The majority of this information is going to be oriented toward Basis, DBAs, and system administrators. If this isn't your role, it probably will not make a huge amount of difference to your SAP experience. If this is your role, you're going to need to learn how to administer Windows and SQL Server, especially the latter, to the level that a certified SQL Server DBA would have, and you won't likely get that knowledge from reading a whitepaper or two or answers to a question here.
Cheers,
Matt

Dear Friends,
We are running SAP 4.7 R/3 with 7.3 GUI. In which we have a program named, ZRBC. Which runs successfully & displays output for 10000 people. However, if we are running for 40000 people. After approx one hour, the following is the outcome :-
(a) On few computers, all sessions gets terminated without any error notification.
(b) On few computers, there is an error message displaying as "Decompression error(receiving)- Program will be terminated" and particular session gets terminated after clicking "OK".
Please suggest necessary actions.
